Hello. Dear experts, tell me, in a solution for a warm floor, you need to add only a specialized plasticizer (which specifically indicates that it is for a warm floor), or is any plasticizer suitable for concrete and building mixtures? Thanks in advance.

Recommended floor temperature according to SNiP 41-01-2003 p. 6.5.12:

    - in places with a constant stay of people - 26 degrees,
    - with a temporary stay - up to 31 degrees.

The European standard UNI-EN 1264 recommends 28 degrees, without dividing the premises into residential and walkways.

In the thickness of the screed, the temperature is slightly higher, but still, for a material such as concrete - it is absolutely not critical. You can use any plasticizer.

It is much more important to fill the screed evenly, without bubbles and cavities, provide for expansion joints and allow it to completely dry before the first inclusion of the warm floor. The time for complete drying of the screed with a thickness of 40 mm is 28 days.
