Good afternoon! Tell me, please, how much transformer oil is needed for a 35 kV oil circuit breaker per year?

Hello. The question is clear, but some data is not enough to write an exact answer. Here you need to consider the type of equipment and the capacity of the oil system.

However, everything is regulated by GOST, therefore I am enclosing a table that shows the data on the consumption of transformer oil for oil switches, depending on the type of equipment and the capacity of the oil system. You simply find your oil circuit breaker model in the table and find out the flow data.

    Good day, Elena.

The annual oil demand is dictated by the intensity of operation of the oil switch. The more commutation - emergency shutdowns, operational switching - the faster the oil resource is produced (it changes the chemical-physical properties under the influence of an electric arc - the resulting oxides, graphite impurities, reduce its isolation).

The oil switch’s passport contains the maximum number of switching operations, followed by a complete oil change. When the commutations are approaching the peak value, the operating staff begins to carefully monitor the color of the oil - it may be necessary to replace it before the time specified by the passport.

Usually, when planning annual oil consumption, specialists are guided by the statistics of previous years, assess the probability of increase / decrease in the switching activity of specific connections.

Significantly smaller volumes of oil are required after spring-autumn condensate drains, with unscheduled topping up during operation (leaks, production, temperature drop). Screenshots from PTEP - attached.
