Hello! Comrades, help with advice. I want to lay “Penoplex” 5 centimeters on foam-glue in a new house (attic floor 10 x 10 in size, 200 square meters, wall thickness 2.5 bricks (64 cm), on the ground floor concrete screed 20 cm with waterproofing (bottom liquid bitumen, and glass isol on top), but make it so as not to disrupt the waterproofing of the screed and not weaken it.

Some specialists recommend fastening on the rails together with the masonry net (i.e., drill the screed), arguing that by lifting the pipe together with the net while pouring the second layer of the screed. Doubts torment me, but is it worth it?

Firstly, the lower layer of the screed can weaken, as about a hundred strokes are set there. Secondly, waterproofing (which is from the bottom, which is spread out on the foam in front of the net) will be damaged 100%.

How to be Tell me how best to fix the grid to which the metal-plastic heating pipe of the house will be tied. Thanks in advance!

Good afternoon! Given that you have a screed thickness of 200 mm and you will use Penoplex 50 mm, then, in my opinion, you can safely use standard dowels (“fungi”) 160 mm long. As you know, 16 centimeter dowels will not damage your waterproofing in any way. You can use the same “fungi” to attach the mesh. By the way, Penoplex can not be fixed on the floor in any way - this allows the technology, the plates are mounted end-to-end and do not move.
