Greetings! Such a question, is it possible to install a dirt filter before automatic equipment and a hydraulic accumulator in a home water supply system? Will the pressure dynamics fall at the same time?

Good day. As I understand it, you want to make such a device because of heavily contaminated water in order to protect the automation. This is logical, but let’s take a closer look, especially since the topic is very painful for many, and there is practically no single answer to this question anywhere on the network.

So, we put the filter to the automation and the accumulator. Thus, we protect our automation and water storage pear. Suppose we have pure spring water flowing. The pressure difference will be almost invisible. But you do not just plan the installation scheme “before”.

How do you breathe easier - freely or when a handkerchief is leaned against your nose? Of course, free. It is also easier for the pump to breathe without a pre-filter. During operation, the filter becomes clogged with dirt and in individual water ducts this happens very quickly. Suppose you did not manage to clean the coarse filter in time. Hydraulic resistance arises, and the sediment begins to work under enormous load. And at the same time, the pressure does not fall, that is, your homeworkers simply may not immediately notice this, except for deviations in the process of turning on the station, but not every housewife will understand this, and you may not be at home at this moment.

The pump that is pumping with all its strength almost at idle will begin to overheat and will fail very quickly, since the automation will not be able to turn it off, it will not feel the problem, and the cooler will come in limited quantities.

That is why filters, both fine and rough, are usually placed after, not before.

But your installation scheme has a place to be, only for this you need to add a dry running relay to it, which will turn off the pump when pumping dry. Or immediately buy a pump with a built-in such a device, but usually these are expensive devices.
