    In your case, you need a good pumping station to cope with such volumes of water and provide a stable water supply. For example, I can recommend Grundfos MQ3-35. But I would first propose to consider the option of placing the tank at a height (artificial structure or natural). Then the water will flow under pressure without the help of a pumping station.

    And on the account of the water level indicator for your tank, I advise you to use modern float sensors for water level in tanks. The principle of its operation is very simple and the price is reasonable.

    Hello! For pumping water from a buried barrel, submersible pumps of vibration or centrifugal type are used. Vibratory - inexpensive, but have limited power and relatively small operational resource. Centrifugal - more expensive, but powerful and durable.

    Criteria for choosing a pump:

    1) Performance. It depends on the number of people living in the house, the number of water consumers, the diameter of the water pipes. The best option is to use a special calculator where the user sets the parameters: the depth of the fence point (the bottom of your barrel), the number of residents, the presence of a shower, bath, washing machine, etc. As a result of the calculation, you will get the recommended pump capacity. I advise you to add 15-20% of the power "in reserve" to the resulting performance.

    2) Dimensions. As a rule, submersible pumps have a small diameter. When choosing, it is necessary that the diameter of the pump be less than the neck of the barrel.

    3) The location of the water inlet. The water intake hole may be located on the top or bottom of the housing. A unit with a lower fence will allow to pump out almost all the water from the barrel. But I highly recommend buying a pump with an upper water intake so that the device does not “swallow” sediment and impurities that accumulate at the bottom.

    4) The presence of automation.Here it is better not to skimp and purchase a unit equipped with a good automation system. The built-in system will allow not only to regulate the pressure of the water, but also protect the equipment from power surges.

    A good system of automatic protection against dry running is essentially an indicator of the water level in a barrel. Therefore, you need a submersible pump with dynamic protection. In such a system there is a sensor that monitors the pressure of water in the pipes. When the pressure level drops, we can conclude that there is very little water left in the barrel (5-10%). Expensive “smart” units can automatically reduce the pressure so that the consumer can take measures to fill the tank, for example, as in your case, order a new batch of water.
