Hello! Help advice. The washing machine worked, but did not heat water due to the breakdown of the PETN to the mass. Replaced ten and the machine stopped turning on.

If you shorten the heating element to ground, it will turn on and will work until I turn it off. With an old punched heater without mass, it does not turn on at all, but when the mass is connected, the machine immediately turns on and is ready to work.

Because of what, the machine can not turn on with a working heater? The socket is working, I checked the ground, phase and zero.

Good day. Thank you for the detailed description and for checking everything, the current, the interference filter, so everything will be very simple here. As I understand it, we are talking about the LG washing machine, it’s a direct illness for her so typical. Repair at the master will cost you about 8-10 thousand rubles, with a machine price of 20-25 - this is not always advisable.

You have the following symptoms - there was a breakdown of ten. First of all, we will analyze the most common reason, especially since recently parents just faced this - there is a suspicion that you have the same trouble. So, first of all, we disassemble the dashboard and pull out the board. We check if a fuse has blown out in the automation panel. If everything is fine, then we continue the search, especially since I suspect that we already know what we are looking for.

It’s impossible to determine the cause right away, the microcircuit is flooded into the compound, but since there was a breakdown on the heating element, we look first of all at how the relay is doing. If everything is in order, pay attention to the resistor standing parallel to it. It can be designated as R74, R72 or R205. In principle, it will be immediately noticeable that with him trouble and without dialing, he will look slightly fried. If you pick it up, you will most likely see that it burned out. You can smell it - a faint burning smell will be present from this part of the circuit.

Most likely, there will be trouble with the search for the face value, the manufacturer gives out his schemes extremely reluctantly. A foreign resistor, wired, scorched, counting by color coding and marking the part that is not always burned is really correct, so we will go the other way.

We have the Internet, we have proven resources, so we will not reinvent the wheel and we will immediately see from the masters that we have a nominal value of 200-250 Ohms.We change the resistor to another or 2 complex analogous in serial connection, put the unit back into the washer, connect everything as it should and erase it “as before the explosion”.

I have now identified the most frequent failure, if everything is ok with the resistor, ring the entire circuit.

Write your repair results in the comments, keep us informed and ask questions if they still arise during the correction of this annoying breakdown. Good luck
