Hello! The septic tank compressor stopped showing signs of life, could there be a reason for the membranes? Or did he stupidly burn out? I plug it into the network - it is silent, it does not work. Thank!

Hello! In most septic tanks, compressors with a power of 60-110 W are installed, in which there are no rubbing parts subject to failure.

If the device fails, first of all, it is necessary to check the presence of power supply and power cables. To do this, disconnect the compressor from the power supply inside the septic tank, carefully inspect the power cables and connect it through an extension cord to any working outlet. If there is electricity, but the wires are not damaged, but the device does not turn on, then with a high degree of probability the breakdown is associated with damage to the electromagnet or automation. If the membrane is damaged, the unit turns on, and a characteristic noise is heard, but air does not enter the septic tank, i.e. the equipment works, but aeration is not observed.

If you have a contract for servicing a septic tank with an organization, you can contact them for compressor diagnostics. As a rule, compressor testing is part of the standard autonomous sewer service.
