Dead LED lamp, consisting of 96 LEDs and a driver, power 36 watts. The driver is malfunctioning, but there is no circuit, the parameters on its board are not specified. I would like to replace it, but for what?

    Good afternoon, Vladislav.

There is not much information. Forced to start with the assumption that the lamp works from a 220 volt network. The driver must have a 20 percent power margin. Your lamp, if you correctly considered the power on the back of the stand, consumes 36 watts. That is, you need to look for a 43-watt driver.

However, one power characteristic cannot be dispensed with - you need to know the output voltage and current. These characteristics are not known to you. Therefore, they will have to be determined experimentally. You will need a “precision autotransformer”, a rectifier, a tester. Connect the circuit board with LEDs to the “AT + rectifier” circuit. Slowly increase voltage from zero. When the brightness of the LEDs resembles normal, measure the voltage. Then measure the current.

These will be the output parameters necessary for selecting the driver. Look for a suitable driver among 40 ~ 42 watts.

The task of selection can be facilitated by the knowledge of the type of LEDs. By type, you can find the current-voltage characteristics, which will tell you the maximum values of current and voltage. True, here you need to know the connection diagram of all the LEDs.

There is a lot of trouble, I note, but there is a new 36-watt LED panel - 650 rubles. Rechargeable LED lights are even cheaper.
