Hello! An armored cable will be installed from a street pillar underground in the house. It is supposed to lay it on a brick base, i.e. but fireproof base. If the protective pipe can not be used in the ground for laying such a cable, is it worth it to put the cable in a metal pipe in the specified underground?

Hello. If you plan to start exactly an armored cable, then putting it in a metal pipe underground at home does not make much sense. This is if you expect additional protection for the cable. I can assure you that in this case it is not needed.

On the other hand, the idea makes sense in a practical sense, in which case it would be easier to remove or move the armored cable. But for such a solution, and a plastic pipe is suitable, which also costs several times cheaper.

    Good afternoon, Vladimir.

I consider it necessary to warn you - air entry is allowed from the air line. Cable descent along the support of the network organization requires coordination. The type of input is regulated by the "Guiding materials for the power supply of private houses, cottages, garden houses ...". In order not to retell the requirements, I attached a screenshot of the document page. Even intra-yard wiring is recommended to be carried out by air.

Let me explain the reasons for such requirements - power supply organizations advocate for the visualization of circuits in order to reduce the likelihood of theft of electricity.
